Chicago before Millennium Park, 1943, in color.
“South Water Street freight depot of the Illinois Central Railroad – Chicago, Illinois, May 1943.” Looks like it was taken from almost the exact current location of Cloud Gate. The Carbon & Carbide Building on the left is now a Hard Rock Hotel.
